Jason & Caroline Lankford

Jason, Caroline, and their three boys moved to Syracuse to start Radiant Church as part of the Salt Network, a family of Southern Baptist churches within Send Network, the North American Mission Board’s church planting arm, that focuses on planting churches in major university centers.

Known as the “Salt City” for its historical salt production, Syracuse is now home to Radiant Church, aiming to produce “salt and light” people. The Lankfords were warmly welcomed by local churches, which helped them establish roots and engage the community around Syracuse University.

The Lankfords found spiritual conversations easier than they expected in Syracuse. They believe it’s because believers have been planting gospel seeds in the community for years prior to their arrival. In their first year of existence, they baptized 12 new believers.

When we give to the Cooperative Program, we help church planters like the Lankfords get the training and support they need to reach college communities like Syracuse with the good news about Jesus.

Pray for the Lankfords and Radiant Church as they disciple new believers, and that the Lord would multiply the fruit of their faithfulness.
