MWBC Disaster Relief Deployment
We have two teams currently deployed to the East Coast working with Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief. Pray often for those affected by Helene directly. Pray for our first responders on site as they assess rescue needs. Pray for our team leaders on the ground, Send Relief, SBDR, and our churches in the path as they work out logistics and deployment needs. Pray the rain and storm surges would be minimal, esp. as Hurricane Milton makes its way to areas already hard hit by Helene. Pastors Conference
A Pastors Conference scheduled for 9:00 am Friday morning precedes the Annual Meeting. We are excited to announce that Dr. Jeff Iorg, President and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee, will lead our Pastors Conference.
Iorg’s career is exemplified in his accomplishments as president of Gateway Seminary, where, from 2004-24, his visionary leadership transformed the institution and expanded its reach and impact domestically and globally.
Before his tenure at Gateway Seminary, Iorg held various roles that shaped his career as well as the communities he served.
As the executive director of the Northwest Baptist Convention, Iorg coordinated the cooperative work of more than four hundred churches and increased annual Cooperative Program giving by 30 percent.
