Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time dedicated Administrative Assistant to support the operations of the Minnesota-Wisconsin Baptist Convention. This primarily administrative role involves working closely with diverse populations in a faith-based environment, requiring a friendly, people-oriented approach to foster positive relationships and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping (Approximately 1/3 of Time): Handle financial record-keeping, including tracking expenses through specialized software, providing data as needed to staff, federal and state reporting and preparing financial reports for the organization.
- Assistant to Disaster Relief Director (Approximately 1/3 of Time): Provide administrative support for disaster relief efforts, such as coordinating volunteer trainings, schedules, organizing supplies and logistics, communicating with partners, and assisting in planning response activities.
- Event Planning and Management (Approximately 1/3 of Time): Work with a team to plan and execute convention events, including annual meetings, workshops, and networking gatherings, by managing registrations, venue arrangements, vendor coordination, and on-site logistics.
Qualifications
- Friendly, people-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, including bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks), Microsoft Office suite, and event management tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
- Commitment to the values and mission of the Minnesota-Wisconsin Baptist Convention.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare options that can be discussed during the interview process to meet individual needs.
